April + Jakkree: San Francisco Summer Soiree
San Francisco offers a dreamlike setting for couples to say their "I dos." With its iconic landmarks and breathtaking waterfront views, this vibrant...
Get ready for a boot-scootin' good time because Ashley and Peyton's country chic wedding at Hofmann Ranch was an event to remember. From cowhide accents to cowboy boots, this pair put their personal spin on their big day. Ashley shared:
We incorporated lots of Western items related to both of our family backgrounds. My great-grandfather had a ranch with lots of animals. We were able to use some of his horseshoes. My grandma rode horses, and we included her saddle to hold cards. Our “hay ring” backdrop was from a friend's ranch. For our unity ceremony, we used our custom brand to brand a piece of cowhide.
On the big day, Ashley was enjoying getting ready and putting on the finishing touches with her wedding party. She shared how her girls were quick to bring a smile to her face:
As I was getting ready for the wedding with my bridesmaids, my maid and matron of honor walked out with a present. I couldn’t have asked for anything better - it was so funny and so them. They had a picture made of me and Peyton looking like a king and queen with our faces attached. I was feeling nervous, so it was a nice way to loosen up.
Then it was time for the ceremony! The couple chose a rustic hay holder backdrop adorned with cowhide accents lining the aisle. The stunning floral arrangements featuring white roses and lush greenery from KB Flowers brought the entire scene to life. Ashley also shared an interesting detail about the ceremony:
I wish we could relive the actual ceremony every day! Peyton was originally not going to read his vows aloud, but our officiant (a good family friend) was able to convince him, and it absolutely made that night even better. Getting to share that special moment with all my friends and family was the cherry on top.
Following the ceremony, the celebration carried on with cocktail hour. To keep their guests entertained while they were busy taking photos, the couple provided cornhole to add to the fun. They also added delicious appetizers: a rainbow vegetable platter with pesto hummus and a variety of domestic and imported cheese with wafers.
One memorable moment of the day was when a group of friends, the longhorns, made an appearance:
We loved loved loved having the longhorns in the background of some of our pictures and during our ceremony!
The couple also scored some gorgeous photos featuring the state flower in bloom:
Following the cocktail hour, guests enjoyed the beautiful grand hall for the reception. For the couple’s tablescapes, they paired white linens, sandalwood napkins, and sage green runners with their pampas grass centerpieces and their custom-made table numbers. They also created custom cowhide coasters, complete with their unique branded logo, for guests to enjoy. For their sweetheart table, they brought in their own personal style by adding cowhide and horseshoes along with pampas grass and fresh flowers.
For dinner, Ashley and Petyon opted to upgrade to a plated meal. Guests enjoyed the braised beef short rib, panko parmesan crusted chicken with sherry cream, and three-cheese scalloped potatoes.
After dinner, the moment everyone had been waiting for arrived - the couple cutting into their cowhide-themed creation from Five Times the Charm Bakery, a tasty four-tiered cake with pina colada, chocolate orange with chocolate mousse, and coconut almond. Peyton also got his own special groom’s cake!
The night continued with an abundance of dancing, creating an energetic atmosphere that kept everyone on their feet. The photo booth, always popular among guests, added an extra fun touch. Their guests raved:
Our guests loved how beautiful everything was, especially the flowers and scenery, as well as how friendly the staff was.
To wrap up an incredible evening, the couple added in the always-popular grand sparkler moment for their final exit:
Congratulations, Ashley and Peyton! We are incredibly grateful for allowing us to make your wedding day a reality. They offered a final piece of advice for all the other couples preparing for their special day:
Definitely shop around until you find things/vendors in your budget and to your liking. No one’s going to know if anything goes wrong because they most likely didn’t know it was going to happen anyway, so don’t stress!
