Brianna & Cristian's Moody Galway Downs Wedding

The wedding of Brianna and Cristian took place at Galway Downs by Wedgewood Weddings on a beautiful October day, and it was a grand event indeed. A vintage and moody style with a dark color palette was ideal to complement the modern-rustic vibe of the venue. 

Brianna and Cristian created a decadent wedding design perfectly suited to match their taste and personality; the couple opted for darker shades of burgundy and black and incorporated unique personal details throughout their day to make it feel special. From the peaceful surroundings of Galway Downs to the meadows full of evergreen trees and a sparkling pond, they were ready for a beautiful celebration. A welcome table featured photos of the lovely couple and a custom star map on which guests could leave messages for the couple to read.

Meet Cristian and Brianna at Galway Downs by Wedgewood Weddings

A get-ready on-site offered Brianna and Cristian a place to create delightful and lasting memories before saying I do. Brianna and her bridesmaids created special moments while they got their hair & makeup done. They shared childhood stories as the day passed and Brianna was given a family heirloom that has been passed down from generation to generation on this day.

She wore a mermaid-style dress paired with a vintage pin-up style updo; Cristian matched Briana's vintage style with a red velvet suit jacket and accessories. All of it added a unique sophistication to this celebration for two. The couple chose to have first looks with their parents before walking down the aisle, and it was sweet as can be. When it came time for the ceremony in the beautiful garden area, all of their guests could see both lovebirds smiling ear to ear as they met each other's eyes for the first time before saying 'I Do'. 

Loved ones came from far and near to participate in this celebration of love. Cristian made sure his grandparents were remembered with a beautiful tribute, a gorgeous black and white photo placed in the front row between Cristian's parents during the ceremony. While giggling and a few tears of happiness, the ceremony was full of special and memorable moments.

Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed the serenity of the outdoors, surrounded by mature trees, native cacti and ponds, while listening to mariachi music in the background. A variety of appetizers and an open bar were a few highlights of the event, along with the many details planned by the couple with their venue team.

As the couple concluded capturing their first moments as husband and wife, the guests finished the cocktail hour with smiles abound. They headed inside the stunning Carriage House which serves as a beautiful reception space with a dining hall, bar, and stunning fireplaces. As they walked through the doors of the Carriage House, guests could see all the details that Cristian and Brianna put together to create their wedding vision. We loved special touches that made sure the guests had everything they needed to be comfortable during the wedding such as warm blankets and sandals for dancing. No detail for comfort was overlooked!

In the Carriage House, a combination of round and rectangular dark wood farm tables and louis chairs were beautifully displayed. Each table was decorated with light gray table runners, black flameless candles, gold charger plates, and table numbers. The dark and moody palette followed throughout with flowers displayed as centerpieces. The selection of white roses, dusty lavender, and burgundy roses, accented with hydrangeas and black dahlias, was truly stunning. The reception had a romantic feeling throughout the night setting the perfect ambiance for dancing.

Another notable highlight for the night was a stylish cigar bar located just outside the Carriage House as a special treat for all to enjoy, including 4 different cigars and personalized match boxes with Brianna's and Cristian's names and wedding date.

Brianna and Cristian knew they would be well taken care of with the Elite wedding package by Wedgewood Weddings. They wanted their guests to have the time of their lives and enjoy the best food and drinks possible. Their guests had plenty of choices with a buffet of options and a carving station; they knew there would be something for everyone. Afterward, the wedding attendees and couple had a champagne toast, headed to the cigar bar or the dance floor for some dancing, and continued to enjoy the night.

The wedding team from the coordinator to the serving staff, bartenders, and more all ensured that the couple and their dear friends and family were cared for throughout the wedding, creating countless memories filled with laughter and tears of joy. Enjoying delicious cakes and pastries and dancing the night away was the perfect ending to their wedding day!
