Have you considered your cake table design yet? As you plan your gorgeous color schemes, flowers and overall theme, you can style your cake table too with professional or crafty DIY upgrades. Choose from flowers, flameless candles, pearls, lanterns, rustic fixings, retro décor ...
There are a lot of areas to consider when decorating your reception space. We will provide a table with white linens and then it's up to you to let the simplicity of the look show-off your cake design, or let us know if you want to style it up!
If you're planning the traditional cake cutting photos (or cake smush), our team will make sure the background looks great and then all the décor is up to you - although we're happy to provide advice, as can your florist if you choose to accent your event with fresh blooms.
Many couples do not realize, wedding cakes can be extremely heavy! Did you know the average cake is around 24lbs? Incredible - no wonder cake makers are so strong 😀 and with all the embellishments, they need to be set back from guests. Children in particular seem to be drawn to the most amazing cakes. We also see cake-toppers that are cherished family heirlooms, and we want to make sure they stay in place for the duration.
Covering the table with a white cloth and tossing rose petals is a simple and lovely adornment, or you can use lighting, fabric, flowers and accessories, to create a spectacular look for your wedding cake.
FLORAL ACCENTS
Follow the theme of your wedding and ask your florist to create an extra design by placing fresh flowers around, or if agreed with the baker, on the cake.
ACCENT LIGHTS
Focus on the cake-cutting tradition by illuminating the ceremonial event. Flameless votives can draw the eye while making sure your cake is not near a source of heat.
PERSONAL MEMENTOS
Use sheets of old music, love letters, a poem written in calligraphy, photographs of your family and romantic memorabilia...
Having a dessert table at your wedding reception is sure to make your guests drool! The design is up to you. Add cookies, cupcakes, candy, petit fours... Whether your wedding venue is a laid-back ranch or a luxe ballroom, there's always room for a designated cake or dessert table.
