Jian and Scott's love story took them from the bustling streets of San Francisco to the historic charm of Philadelphia, but when it came time to tie the knot, they knew they had to return to the city where they had shared so many incredible moments together. On a chilly Wednesday in December, the couple gathered with their nearest and dearest for their Officers' Club at the Presidio wedding.
As they exchanged vows in the midst of this iconic San Francisco landmark, Jian and Scott's wedding day was a beautiful reflection of their journey as a couple. Join us as we delve into the details of Jian and Scott's memorable San Francisco wedding. This is a story of two people who chose to celebrate their love in a place that meant so much to them!
Scott and Jian chose to exchange their vows at the Chapel of Our Lady, a charming historic church conveniently located next to the Officers' Club. To add a distinctive and memorable element to their ceremony, the couple decided to have a bagpiper perform their recessional music. The notes of the bagpipes filled the air as the newlyweds made their way back down the aisle.
After the ceremony, the newlyweds took a moment to themselves, slipping away to capture the last of their romantic photos together. Thanks to their decision to do a first look, Scott and Jian had already been able to take plenty of stunning shots before the ceremony, allowing them to fully immerse themselves in the joy of the occasion.
Meanwhile, guests gathered in Moraga Hall for cocktail hour, mingling and enjoying the inviting warmth of the fireplace. As part of the couple's Elite package, attendees were treated to an array of six delectable appetizers carefully chosen by Scott and Jian:
To add a personalized touch to their reception, Scott and Jian selected two signature drinks: the Cable Car, a nod to San Francisco's iconic mode of transportation, and an Irish Coffee, a warming beverage that suited the cozy atmosphere of the winter wedding. When it came time for dinner, the couple chose to offer their guests a duet plated meal, featuring Braised Beef Short Rib and Rosemary Garlic Herb Chicken with Herb Roasted Red Potatoes.
Moraga Hall was transformed into a stunning setting for the reception, with the grooms' carefully selected color palette creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that captured the essence of a cozy winter wedding. The deep, rich tones of crimson and navy played beautifully off one another, adding depth and sophistication to the overall design.
For their head table, Scott and Jian opted for a luxurious velvet crimson tablecloth, which was elegantly contrasted by crisp navy napkins. The guest tables featured the reverse, with navy tablecloths and burgundy napkins, creating a lovely balance throughout the room. The wooden cross-back chairs added a rustic touch, complementing the historic charm of the venue. The centerpieces, masterfully crafted by Angella Floral Arts, featured classic red roses amidst lush greenery.
Jian and Scott collaborated with Mazzetti's Bakery to create a whimsical and vibrant design that reflected their playful personalities. The rainbow-inspired cake was a true work of art, featuring bold, colorful layers that immediately caught the eye and hinted at the delightful flavors within.
As the reception continued, the newlyweds and their guests took to the dance floor, celebrating the joyous occasion with plenty of laughter and love. The energy in the room was electric, a testament to the happiness and excitement that surrounded Scott and Jian on their special day.
We were absolutely delighted to welcome Scott and Jian back to San Francisco, the city where their love story began, even if only for a few days. It was an honor to be a part of their incredible wedding journey, and we wish them a lifetime of happiness, adventure, and love together. Congratulations to the newlyweds!
