Tropical Drag-Themed Wedding in Sacramento

What do you get when you mix bold tropical colors, vivacious drag queen energy, and a flash mob on your wedding day? Possibly the most joyous and exciting occasion of your life! Ryan and Ry are two bright spirits and their beautiful sequel wedding celebration at Union Brick in Sacramento was everything they dreamed of and more.

Meet The Happy Couple

Ryan and Ry are such a bright and happy couple and have been a joy to work with. The love between these two is so bright and obvious you can't help but smile in their presence. They legally got married earlier in the year and came ready to P-A-R-T-A-Y at Union Brick for this beautiful fall wedding day. 

Fashionista fun

It was really important to the couple to infuse this wedding day with as much joy and personality as possible, and we think that's beautifully evident in every little carefully selected fashion detail. For the ceremony, both Ryans sported classic yet modern bright blue suits (with shorts!) over tropical shirts of ferns and parrots. To finish off the look, they added white and gold bowties, coordinating gold pocket squares, and white converse sneakers.

The wedding party wore a mixture dove-gray color suits and dresses with fuchsia accents that perfectly set the stage for the beautiful couple's bold wedding attire. The men wore matching white converse sneakers with funky rainbow laces! Last but not least, we can't forget the most adorable dog that ever did walk the planet joined in for wedding day fun.

Wedding Bells

Ryan and Ry were delighted to share their love and vows all over again, this time in front of their closest family and friends. The ceremony was emotional and gleeful mixed with humor and ear-to-ear smiles. Guests were invited to sip champagne as they said, “I do!” and shoot off bubble guns during their newlywed walk down the aisle together.

What could be more perfectly on-theme than an outfit change? After the ceremony, our darling couple changed into matching eggplant-colored suits over turquoise tropical shirts with pink accents. After a quick portrait session in the courtyard, the wedding party headed inside to greet the excited guests in high fashion. The grand entrance turned into a surprising flash mob featuring balloons and sparklers — absolutely EPIC! 

Drag Queen Disco

Did we mention that this was a drag queen-themed wedding? So unique! Inspired by one of their favorite shows, Rupaul's Drag Race, they incorporated their love of drag in carefully placed details throughout the event. Each table was adorned with one of the couple's favorite drag queens from the show, they had a flower queen walk down the aisle and topped off the night with a special drag queen performance. 

"One of our favorite parts of the night had to be the Drag Queen that performed. She was hilarious and let’s face it gorgeous in that sequin gown! We’re still craving some donuts!"
